South Korea

South Korea is a sovereign country located in the southern part of the Korean Peninsula. The name "Korea" is derived from Goryeo, a dynasty which ruled in the Middle Ages. Its neighbors are China to the west, Japan to the east, and North Korea to the north. South Korea lies in the north temperate zone with a predominantly mountainous terrain. The land of K-Pop and Gangnam style, South Korea is also rich in history and culture. While the world mostly sees the technological advancements of major corporations like Samsung, Hyundai, etc. based in the country, South Korea also offers a lot in terms of cultural, historic and geographic attractions for tourists. It is also a growing centre for medical tourism and high quality, safe cosmetic treatments.
